What is the ISPS Code?
The International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code is a mandatory international framework introduced by the IMO in 2004. It requires port facilities and shipping companies to develop, implement and maintain comprehensive security plans.
In Belgium the ISPS Code applies to all ports handling international shipping: Antwerp, Ghent, Zeebrugge and Ostend. Facility operators must hold an approved Port Facility Security Plan (PFSP) and appoint a qualified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).
Access control: from gate management to Alfapass integration
